The new Azimut Magellano 60 launch is widely acknowledged as another step forward for Azimut’s eco credentials in motor yacht design. The 60 is a crossover designed for owners who love long voyages full of adventure. This 60-footer stands out for the large spaces on board, generous without compromising the elegance of Ken Freivokh’s design lines. The cockpit is configured as a natural extension of the large lounge on the Main Deck. The stern transforms into a terrace capped with a transparent parapet that creates an Infinity Terrace overlooking the water, offering a navigation experience in complete harmony with nature and the sea.
The crossover soul of the Magellano 60 is also through the high-efficiency Dual Mode semi-planing hull, which allows navigation at low speeds in total comfort but also handles higher speeds by attenuating the impact of the waves and optimizing consumption and emissions.
Furthermore, Magellano 60 is the model chosen by Azimut for the first voyage powered by HVOlution biofuel, produced by Eni Sustainable Mobility with 100% renewable raw materials.
The tests carried out by Azimut in the summer of 2023 recorded exceptional results in terms of compatibility and performance and aligned with the Eco yacht benchmarks applied by Azimut.
The combination of the Dual Mode hull and biofuel has allowed a well-to-wake reduction in CO2 emissions of more than 80% compared to a yacht of comparable size powered by fossil diesel.
The new Magellano 60 is a beautiful combination of freedom and elegance. It is a crossover that embodies the spirit of exploration, enhanced by the navigational capabilities of a Dual Mode hull. The yacht offers ample and bright spaces, exuding a discreet charm that reveals itself slowly.
It provides the utmost comfort, making it a perfect choice for long journeys to new frontiers. The onboard philosophy of the Magellano 60 is pleasant, promising a travel privilege that knows no boundaries.
The internal dining area sits before a floor-to-ceiling window, which offers breathtaking views of the waves. The table, with its practical square shape, can be raised and extended if necessary, allowing six guests to lunch comfortably in the presence of the sea.
The warm and welcoming full-beam Owner’s Suite captures the contemporary and suspends it in time, the perfect sanctum for more extended stays at sea. Chosen with care and attention to detail, the distinctive palette of materials ranges from a Viennese straw, adorning the furniture, to the softly textured fabric behind the headboard.
The interior design and decoration are intended to envelop the owner in an oasis of well-being and comfort, this is taken through to the guest rooms, with the forward VIP guest cabin exuding all of the characteristics of the owner’s cabin. An abundance of light fills the cabin however, the star of the show is lifting your head from the pillow to see the water from the perfectly placed windows on either side of the double bed.
The Magellano 60 may be the entry model to the Magellano range but it is far from being anything but, designed for long-range cruising, combining elegance, comfort, and efficient performance, it has all the ingredients to make it one of the best Eco motor yachts on the market today.
