FJORD has released the first exciting details of the new 53XL. The new flagship will not only be the largest and most luxurious model of the north German motorboat brand, but will also incorporate many design features from the successful FJORD 41XL.
Maxim Neumann, sales manager of HanseYachts AG said: “Following the great success of the FJORD 41XL, with over 100 vessels sold in one year, we saw growing demand for a 53-foot XL yacht. However, we did not simply transfer the successful concept of the 41XL to a twelve-foot larger yacht; we developed it further. The result is a superlative new FJORD of which we are all very proud.”
Andrea Zambonini, product manager FJORD: “This boat embodies the pure FJORD DNA that has made this brand so successful: an exceptionally comfortable cockpit with a fully-equipped deck galley and a sun deck beneath which a tender can be stowed. The helm is more futuristic than ever and a crew cabin accessible from the cockpit can be arranged if desired.”
Hull: The characteristically large hull windows not only guarantee maximum natural light below deck, but also contribute to a distinctive appearance on the water. The anchoring system is fully integrated into the hull and can be extended automatically.
Deck: The helm station resembles a modern command centre and, in addition to three ergonomic pilot seats, is also equipped with three 19-inch plotters and three stylishly integrated cup holders.
The largest deck area ever designed by FJORD allows for a unique cockpit layout. Two large galley units on either side leave room for a large seating area and two tables for up to nine people. Alternatively, choose a U-shaped seat and a very large, electrically lowering table. A vast sun pad is positioned on the aft deck, where four people can lie in comfort. Beneath the sunbathing area is an immense storage space, which can be configured as a tender garage.
The entire cockpit is shaded by a mighty T-top, whose robust roof pillars are integrated into the bulwarks, guaranteeing not only maximum stability but also the best possible freedom of movement on deck. FJORD’s typical walk-around deck leads forward to a second large sun lounger.
Interior: We created a new cabin for the FJORD 53XL, which is used as a stowage compartment accessible from the cockpit in the standard version. But it can also be fully fitted out as a dedicated crew cabin, to allow absolute privacy for the owner and their guests.
The cabin has standing headroom in the entrance area and is equipped with a wardrobe, toilet, washbasin and a window. Optional TV and an additional C-zone monitor are available. With their large hull windows, the master cabin, owner’s bathroom and guest cabin offer bright, opulent volumes.
The interior layout can be perfectly adapted to the owner’s requirements in three variants:
A: The master cabin and lobby form an open, loft-like space with a walk-in wardrobe and access to both the owner’s bathroom and the guest cabin.
B: For more privacy, the owner’s area can be separated from the guest area with an additional door.
C: Instead of the walk-in wardrobe in the lobby, there is an additional en-suite bathroom for the guest cabin, while the owner’s area retains sole access to the main bathroom.
The finest materials and a range of exclusive styling options round off our impressive interior layout. Naturally there are plenty of customisation options, too, all permitting you to make the best possible use of every centimetre.
The Fjord 53 XL flagship epitomises the aspirational development of the brand and the exciting new models that have advanced Fjord’s innovation in boat design, pushing them positively into new markets.
