Designer Carlo Galeazzi has done a fantastic job, offering an elegant, well-balanced boat with flowing modern lines which, without eye saw excess traditional to the Italian shipyard’s style.

The hull and deck superstructures have been constructed in GRP built over 3 decks the Technema 95 has superb external and internal living areas notable for there elegance and comfort: the flying bridge features a spectacular view all round the yacht and spacious semicircular sofas with comfortable sundecks, so entertaining guests or friends can be a simple affair.

The large bar on the upper deck is equipped with sink, fridge and icemaker. The layout aft of the flybridge includes accommodation for two jet skis or a large tender, while the helm position is situated forward, protected by an efficient windshield. The cockpit provides ample space for a sofa plus a fibreglass table and chairs if required

The interior envisages different custom solutions with options of 4 or 5 cabins. There is a large saloon on the upper deck aligned with the dining area and a table to seat 10, plus a separate zone which can be used as an office or other variations depending on individual requirements, leading on from here you will find yourself in the technology encrusted bridge which comes fully loaded with everything you would expect from a yacht of this size.

Below deck in the 4 cabin layout you will find an owner’s suite with dressing room and spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi or, on request, a hydro-massage shower. Still on the lower deck there is a VIP cabin and 2 double guest cabins, each with private bathroom. The crew’s area is forward and consists of 2 cabins for four persons, with separate bathrooms.

The 5 cabin version envisages two solutions with different compartmentalisation: the first one has the owner’s suite on the upper deck while the pantry area is extended thus leaving more space for the crew’s quarters; in the second version all the cabins are on the lower deck.

The Technema 95 is also rich in instrumentation, both on the internal and flying bridges, with state of the art autopilot, radar, plotter, etc.. The standard accessories too are high level with hot/cold air-conditioning in all the rooms and plasma TV in the saloon and cabins. In the saloon an electrically controlled mechanised system slides away a large painting to reveal a flat TV screen set flush to the wall.

As for the décor, it is left to the owner to choose an architect for the highest level of customisation. The first three boats produced, for example, bore the signatures of two different specialists: the first was by Reberberi and the others by Carlo Trezzi. As you would expect from any top custom yacht projects the owner can adapt the vessel to his tastes in the choice of woods and materials: cherry, maple or stained oak, marble, broadloom, fabrics and bathroom fixtures.

For the bathroom floors you can choose practical teak or go for marble, while the most demanding customers may opt for mosaics, another decidedly exclusive alternative which, obviously, does not come under standard accessories but will give that individual feel to their yacht.

Posillipo offer a pair of 2x24000hp MTU engines that will give the Technema 95 and impressive  Top speed of 31 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 25 knots.

Carlo Galeazzi has produced an inspiring yacht in the Technema 95 incorporating elegance, comfort and technology to produce a beautiful peace of Italian yacht design and building.

Brit award goes to Princess M class super yachts

Princess Yachts International plc are set for another exciting year in 2010 as along side their new boat launches they reveal the first images of the new M Class yachts.

Beautifully detailed, scale models of both the 32M and the 40M yachts where publically revealed for the first time at the London International Boat Show together with the very first images of both models – an unveiling that has been eagerly awaited since the Company announced plans to move into the 100 feet plus category last Spring.

The M Class yachts will be built at the recently acquired South Yard facility, just a short distance along the waterfront from the Princess Head Quarters where production of the very first vessel, the 32M, is already well underway.  Her vast, resin infused hull was completed in early December and floated ceremoniously across to the new Shipyard from Newport Street and now the fit out of the largest Princess to date has begun – her completion scheduled for later in 2010.

Whilst the hull was in the moulding shop, the M Class design team has been inside the huge South Yard facility constructing a complete, full-size and detailed mock-up of the yacht’s interior which has been used to trial many different design, finishes and detailing ideas for what will be the most sumptuous Princess interior yet.

It’s an indication of the sheer size of the Princess South Yard facility that the 32M hull easily fits alongside this life-size mock-up and in February, the Princess 95 Motor Yacht production team will also move to the South Yard facility, where they will build 95 Motor Yachts, two at a time, alongside the 32M.

These impressive new craft will be unmistakably Princess in terms of design and performance, while offering exceptional levels of personalisation so each will be truly individual. Extremely spacious, the 32M provides accommodation for up to 10 guests and can be configured with either three of four en-suite staterooms for guests in addition to the owners suite which takes pride of place on the main deck.

The 40M, a long-range Tri-deck cruising yacht, is scheduled for launch late in 2011 and she offers an unprecedented level of luxury and personalisation.  Eminently capable of accommodating 12 guests she also provides separate accommodation for up to 8 crew to ensure complete privacy.   The owner is accommodated in a magnificent suite on the main deck while throughout the yacht there is an incredible amount of scope for personalisation ensuring she is a very worthy flagship for the Princess fleet.

Get that satisfaction feeling from the Sealine SC35

Although launched back in 2007 the SC35 was the cornerstone for the latest Sealine design direction. The design filled the saloon with natural light through the translucent convertible roof system with an unprecedented feeling of space for a boat of this size in both forward and aft cabins.

A royal wave from the Regal 2250

Add to FacebookAdd to DiggAdd to Del.icio.usAdd to StumbleuponAdd to RedditAdd to BlinklistAdd to TwitterAdd to TechnoratiAdd to Yahoo BuzzAdd to Newsvine

You can trace the 2250 roots right back to the first ever Regal produced back in 1969, it was at the Orlando site that Regal rolled out its first ever 21ft sports boat cuddy. The 2250 is testament to how far the US based firm has come.

The 2250 has an aggressive look and feel to it from the outside but once you’re aboard the upmarket feel is all around you.

There is a generous use of stainless steel around the cockpit most noticeable in the windscreen fittings, the helms position has a well presented instrument panel with an elegant finish that can be found on much larger craft.

The 2250 has been fitted with a sliding acrylic door as seen on larger cruisers and provides a perfect natural light into the well fitted and elegant cuddy area.

The 2250 can be powered by Mercruiser of Volvo units, however we would favour the diesel powered 190 hp Volvo D3 power unit coupled to the DP duo-prop drive good for a 40 knot top speed with a great range.

The 2250 is a great weekend sports boat perfect for a family day out or for couples who want that overnight stay. With an upmarket interior, plenty of room in the cockpit and a great sun and bathing area toward the stern, it would be hard to beat the 2250 as the perfect all round sports cuddy.

Who has the biggest “Boot” at Dusseldorf 2010

A selection Large yachts were always the hallmark and attraction of boot Düsseldorf. Only up in Düsseldorf can you see large yachts – unique worldwide – whilst keeping your feet dry and protected from the elements in the halls.

The location by the Rhine, a 120-tonne capacity travel lift and a ramp on which even heavier boats can trundle through the streets into the halls all make it possible. This year the largest measures 37.19m in length and weighs a good 180 tonnes on the scales. Even if the beautiful luxury-class ships are only affordable for the few, there is scarcely a visitor who fails to be fascinated.

Sailing yachts

The Cruiser/Racer Solaris One 60‘ (18.97 m) by Se.Ri.Gi., a world leader from Italy, sports a well-conceived standard layout, with other designs possible at an additional charge. The design reflects the over 35-year experience of the shipyard, gathered from building more than 180 individual bespoke yachts (Hall 16, Stand 16 / D21). For the first time in mainland Europe, Oyster is presenting the Cruising Yacht 575 (17.99 m): the sloop was created as a composite build of Kevlar, carbon and e-glass.

With four cabins, it is intended as a family yacht; one of the two cabins with bunk beds could also be assigned to a two-man crew (Hall 16, Stand 16 / C 58). The cruising yacht Jeanneau 57’ (17.78 m) from France is aimed at lone sailors, who wish to travel without a crew. The latest model is available with three, four or five cabins, which can accommodate up to ten people, and the tender is housed in the stern (Hall 16, Stand 16/ B 02). Hanse Yachts (Greifswald) is introducing their latest innovation, the long Hanse 545 (16.20 m). For its internal fittings there is a choice of three suggested designs (Hall 16, Stand B 78). Farmont Yachts (Düsseldorf) has its yachts finished in e-glass in the Turkish city of Antalya. The ketch Marleen (17 m) celebrates its worldwide new entry. In the standard version there are, in addition to the owner’s cabin in the stern, three further cabins – two for guests, as well as one in the forward areas for crew or children (Hall 6, Stand 6 / A 10).

Motor yachts

The Elegance 122 RPH (37.19 m), individually built to customer demand in Taiwan for the Drettmann Group (Bremen), is the largest this year and a worldwide new entry. The triple-decker distinguishes itself through its clear and elegant interior design. For the owner and guests there are five cabins and three for the crew. The two MTU 16-cylinder motors yield 7,300 horsepower between them. Economical diesel usage and great range are the essential characteristics of the worldwide new entry Bandido 66‘ (20.60 m), an explorer from the Drettmann Group. As the smallest Bandido it has only two instead of three decks, but is in no way inferior to her big sisters. The interior is equipped with three cabins plus optional extra room for the crew. In the case of the Drettmann Group’s Elegance 68‘ (20.73 m), owners specify to a large extent the layout and fittings. The one on display contains three cabins for the owners and one for the crew. A Böning ship control system at both stations are included amongst its highlights (Hall 6, Stand 6 / E 27 – D 27). Seen for the first time in mainland Europe, Sunseeker (Great Britain) with its two MTU motors can reach up to 30 knots. The client gets a say in the layout and fittings. The bathing platform can be hydraulically lowered and also serves as a berth for a tender weighing up to 550kg. The newcomer to Germany, Sunseeker Predator 60‘ (19.37 m) goes up to 42 knots, available in an open or hardtop version. A smart detailed appearance awaits you in the cockpit. The sun area projects out over the stern compartment and creates additional length.

The newcomer to Germany, Sunseeker Predator 54‘ (17.45 m) replacing the Portofino 53‘ has received new lines. Created in an Italian open style, it is a sport cruiser with a retractable glass roof over the helm (Hall 6, Stand 6 / D 61). Princess from Great Britain is presenting three new models. The up to 40 knot worldwide new entry V 85’ S (25.91 m) offers four cabins for owners and guests, and two for the crew. The V 62‘ has three cabins in the bow, and the V 78‘ has four (Hall/Stand 6 / E 41). Built in classic trawler style with a Portuguese bridge the Fleming 65‘ (21.70 m) from Taiwan has a walkway around the front of the wheelhouse. It can be seen at Arne Schmidt Yachts (Hamburg). The trawler is designed for long voyages. While the main deck is reserved for steering, eating and living, there are three cabins for six people one level below (Hall 5, Stand 5 / C 20). Sanlorenzo (Italy) presents as its newcomer to Germany the third generation of the 62‘ (18.90 m). It has been modified and brought in line with models 72‘ and 82‘, to a degree that the shipyard is already talking of a new model. The new one has an added fold-away bathing jetty. Below deck there are three cabins for the owner and guests, as well as one behind the pantry for the crew. As is usual at the shipyards, the owner has a say in the fittings (Hall 6, Stand 6/ D 41). Fairline from Great Britain has lined up the newcomer to Germany, Targa 58‘ Gran Turismo, a sport cruiser with a helm stand in a salon decked with contemporary fittings, three cabins for the owner and guests and, as an extra, a fourth one for the skipper.

The Squadron 65 with its fly bridge has four cabins available (Hall 6, Stand 6 / E 61). Furthermore, about 120 exhibitors are presenting models of large and even larger super-yachts, which are too big for the Düsseldorf exhibition halls – or which are currently being worked on around the world. There are also their proposals for construction, design, interior and fittings.

New Princess 72 Motor Yacht – The Perfect Storm at the London Boat Show

British boat builder, Plymouth-based Princess Yachts International reveals its new Princess 72 Motor Yacht which perfectly combines the elegance and detail of a true motor yacht with the agility and performance of a sports cruiser. Defined by her exquisite elegance and refined style the Princess 72 Motor Yacht is the ultimate craft for combining luxurious long range cruising and sophisticated entertaining.

For her size and class the Princess 72 Motor Yacht introduces new standards in design, space and finish.  She displays all the characteristics that define a Princess motor yacht – a deep V hull resin-infused for weight-reducing efficiency, and clean flowing lines that epitomise her elegant styling – all adding to her effortless power, grace and poise at sea.

From the expansive and stylish flybridge, the upper helm position provides exceptional visibility and benefits from a comprehensive array of dual controls, all of which can be cleverly concealed from view at the touch of a button when not in use.  The wetbar, barbeque and generous space of the flybridge also make for a wonderful alfresco entertaining space.

A contemporary style is evident throughout, with an inspired use of fabrics, luxurious upholstery and stunning detailing. All the way through there is a generous sense of space – large panoramic windows flood the full-width main deck saloon with natural light, and the intelligent layout visually connects each area to make a single, expansive entertaining space yet each remains beautifully defined and separate for more intimate use.

The main deck saloon creates an impressive area for entertaining with a large dinette and cocktail bar.  Sliding doors open up to a well appointed cockpit, perfect for more casual dining, and the walk-through bow and forward seating makes an ideal area to enjoy a peaceful aperitif.

The spacious, light and elegant cabins accommodate up to eight guests in contemporary luxury, with additional cabin space for two crew.   There are three beautifully designed staterooms and a generous fourth cabin with twin berths side-by-side.  The striking full-beam master cabin has a wonderful sense of space, a feeling accentuated by the extensive walk-in wardrobe and large en-suite bathroom featuring twin washbasins and shower.

Onboard the Princess 72 Motor Yacht there’s plenty of room to store the tender or a wetbike away from the entertaining spaces. The Princess 72 Motor Yacht joins the Princess range of sophisticated motor yachts, classic flybridge craft, dynamic V Class sporting yachts and new M Class – the ultimate Princess.
