Beneteau Debuts its new Gran Turismo 50 Flagship

Beneteau has pulled back the curtain on what may be its most ambitious express cruiser to date: the Gran Turismo 50. Unveiled against the backdrop of Beneteau’s storied 140-year heritage, the GT50 doesn’t simply add to a growing lineup—it signals a new chapter in how the brand conceives luxury, space, and performance. The WSB team takes a closer look at the imminent flagship arrival.

A Vision Beyond Size

With the Gran Turismo 50, Beneteau is doing more than scaling up. The boat represents an evolutionary leap, featuring dramatic increases in usable exterior space, with interiors and exteriors designed to transition seamlessly between lively daytime cruising and relaxed anchorage living.

Speaking about the project, Beneteau’s Sales Director, Eric LeVine, puts it plainly: “from the beginning … the main question was not what our owners drive, but what drives our owners. What makes them happy?” It’s a philosophy rooted in listening to Boaters—past, present, and future. The result: a yacht that merges the lineage of express cruising with modern demands for comfort, ergonomics, and adaptability.

Design, Performance & the GT Spirit

Beneteau teamed up with naval architect Bill Dixon to achieve a hull that’s both thrilling and efficient—fast enough for long legs, stable and refined enough for moments when you want to drift in the sun. Key to this is “immaculate helm ergonomics” and a hull that responds almost like a performance GT-car, yet carries the weight of “villa‐living” comfort effortlessly.

Interior design is equally considered. Beneteau is drawing on Japanese aesthetics—principles like Kanso (simplicity) and Yugen (subtlety, grace)—to balance elegance with restraint. The mix is daring: large open deck spaces, convertible zones for multiple uses, and sleek external lines that marry beauty with function.

The Alpine Limited Edition: Style Meets Substance

There’s also a twist for enthusiasts of the exclusive. The GT50 Alpine limited edition brings a distinct visual identity—think a Navy Blue hull paired with deep blacks inside, and bespoke touches such as a special steering wheel and coordinated styling inside and out. For those who value looks as much as decks, this version delivers.

Where and When to See It

The Gran Turismo 50 is set to make its global debut at the Paris Nautic Show (26–30 November 2025), before making waves again at BOOT Düsseldorf in January. It’s a signal not just of a new model but a defining moment for Beneteau’s direction in the express cruiser market.

Gran Turismo 50

Stand-out bridges

What makes the Gran Turismo 50 stand out isn’t just that it’s bigger or more luxurious. It’s the way it bridges contrasts: performance with elegance, social living with solitary escape, tradition with innovation. For a brand with over a century of boat-building heritage, this feels less like another model launch and more like a manifesto: here is what express cruising can be when you stop asking what people want and start asking what drives them.
