Imagine a yacht that feels less like a vessel and more like a minimalist architectural retreat. In this place, artful asymmetry, light-drenched interiors, and seamless connections to the sea come together in perfect harmony. Such is the promise of the Sanlorenzo SL110A, the latest in the Italian builder’s groundbreaking asymmetric SL series. The WSB team explores the new SL110A from Sanlorenzo.
Sanlorenzo, alongside Zuccon International Project, has taken its asymmetric design philosophy to its most refined form yet. The SL110A (33.5 m length, 7.3 m beam, 231 GT) departs from conventional yacht profiles by replacing the port-side walkaround deck with expanded interior volume — without compromising circulation thanks to staggered gangways.
The bow presents a striking, sea-facing terrace with integrated sofas and a concealed plunge pool, eliminating the traditional aerodynamic bonnet for an uninterrupted view of the horizon. A hidden mooring hatch keeps lines clean and practical.
At the stern, a transparent gunwale dissolves the barrier between cockpit and sea. The pivoting beach platform reveals tender and jet-ski storage, while retractable stairs maintain a streamlined profile. The modular cockpit lounge transforms effortlessly from a sunbathing space to an alfresco dining area.
The interior is conceived as an extension of the yacht’s exterior lines. Expansive windows, sliding gunwales, and retractable bulwarks flood the living spaces with light and sea breezes. A drop-down starboard terrace allows guests to experience the water more closely.
The main-deck owner’s suite is a full-beam retreat with panoramic views, direct access to the bow pool, and private stairways to upper decks — balancing privacy with integration.
Below deck, four guest cabins (two VIP doubles and two convertible twin/doubles) offer flexible accommodation. Crew quarters, with three cabins, six berths, and a dedicated mess, ensure smooth onboard operation.
Interior styling features dark wood panelling, resin-coffered ceilings, herringbone flooring, stone-effect surfaces, and a Calacatta marble bathroom for the owner — a combination that exudes calm, tactile luxury.
The SL110A builds on Sanlorenzo’s asymmetric lineage, following the SL102A and SL106A. This model pushes spatial experimentation further, blending architectural purity with performance functionality.
Designer Bernardo Zuccon explains:
“Asymmetry unlocks greater interior space, uninterrupted views, and a feeling of openness that transforms life on board.”
Chief designer Piero Lissoni adds:
“This is one of the most elegant yachts Sanlorenzo has ever produced — more architecture than simply naval design.”
The Sanlorenzo SL110A redefines the conventional yachting narrative. With its refined asymmetry, fluid spaces, and seamless interaction with the sea, it appeals to owners who value understated sophistication as much as speed and range.
It is not just a yacht — it is a curated environment where architecture, light, and ocean converge. For those drawn to originality, the SL110A invites not only longer voyages but deeper journeys.
