The Dutch yacht-building powerhouse Feadship has again captured the spotlight with the launch of Project 714, a 79.95-meter (262-foot) superyacht. The vessel, which debuted from the De Vries Aalsmeer shipyard on February 23, 2025, is now undergoing final outfitting and sea trials ahead of its expected delivery later this year.

Project 714 is an elegant blend of craftsmanship and modern engineering, featuring a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. Designed with a 13.57-meter (44.5-foot) beam and an estimated gross tonnage of 2,450 GT, the yacht offers expansive interior and exterior spaces for relaxation and entertainment.

The exterior design is credited to British firm RWD, while the interiors are curated by Paris-based Chahan Interior Design. While specific details on the yacht’s amenities remain under wraps, it is known to accommodate up to 12 guests across six luxurious staterooms, with additional quarters for a dedicated crew of six.
Reports suggest that Project 714 is owned by Lawrence Stroll, the Canadian billionaire and executive chairman of Aston Martin. Stroll is no stranger to high-end yachting, having previously owned the 96.55-meter Feadship-built Faith. His decision to transition to a slightly smaller yet still formidable vessel underscores a trend in the superyacht industry toward efficiency without sacrificing luxury.

Feadship remains one of the most respected names in the yachting world, and Project 714 further cements its reputation for excellence. The yacht was recently spotted navigating through the Netherlands’ intricate waterways en route to further outfitting—a testament to the logistical precision required for such high-profile launches.

While Project 714 exemplifies Feadship’s commitment to superior craftsmanship, it also raises interesting questions about the future of luxury yacht ownership. As sustainability and fuel efficiency become increasing concerns in the maritime industry, will future Feadship models push the boundaries of eco-friendly design?

For now, Project 714 stands as an embodiment of traditional superyacht luxury—an exquisite creation that blends timeless design with cutting-edge innovation. With delivery expected later in 2025, all eyes will be on its final outfitting and maiden voyage.
