The grand entrance of the Sunseeker Predator 130 super yacht is set to be a spectacle at this years Southampton Boat show.
Set to steal the show the beautiful Predator 130 is a testament to Sunseeker’s endless search of perfection in its sports yachts however this time they have broken the mould to produce a 126 footer super yacht with the ability to travel long distances and at speed.
Built on a 3 deck platform the Predator 130 will provide customers with a range of individual customised options to ensure their Predator is like no other.
The Predator 130 can provide ample space for 10 guests and 8 crew members and has the ability to cruise for long periods of time however she is no couch potato either the predator figures are eye opening.
The Predator 130 can be powered by 3 engine options form MTU,
Option 1 2 x MTU 12v 4000 M93 (3140bhp/2340kw) on shafts
Option 2 2 x MTU 12v 4000 M93l (3460bhp/2580kw) on shafts
Option 3 2 x MTU 16v 4000 M93 (4185bhp/3120kw) on shafts
Our choice would be engine option 3, giving the Predator 130 a mouth watering 42 knot top speed and that’s from a super yacht 126ft in length!
The Predator 130 makes a bold statement she is palatial in scale and matchless in performance and her design from the outside will have onlookers in ore.
Sunseeker’s very heritage in boat building can be seen within the design and function of the Predator 130 equally the use of cutting edge technologies and practices ensure that Sunseeker stays ahead of the field in boat design and build.

Birchwood, a name that has been around for sometime in the UK and many will associate the Birchwood sports cruiser ranges with the aft cabin design which feature in many of there TS versions.
Here we have the Birchwood 390, a sleek modern design from Birchwood, shredding the past heavy waste line design in favour for a more agile, sporty look. The 390 has everything you would expect from a modern sports boat but has it got what it takes to play with the big boys in this market?
Birchwood havent experienced the success of Sunseeker or Princess of past but with designs such as the 390 and clever targeting Birchwood could starting making headway once again. The quality aspect of the interiors good quality with a nice fit and finish, there are various options to individualise your birchwood from interior fabrics to wood finish.
|Water Capacity||320 l.|
|Fuel Capacity||1,200 l.|
|Engines||2 x Volvo D4 260HP; or
2 x Volvo D4 300HP; or
2 x Yanmar 6BY-260Z/260HP; or
2 x Yanmar 6LPA-STZP/315HP
|Max speed||29 knots at 2900rpm|
|Cruising Speed||24 knots at 2400rpm|
It would be great to see Birchwood making way again and their small but focused range is worth a look if your considering a sports boat upto 50ft.

The Predator 74 has the option to include a sports fly bridge with a dual helm. Sunseeker provides a semi-custom approach to the Predator 74 as seen on all the Predator range, allowing for a number of optional changes to the design.
As with many sports yachts in this size bracket, the customer can model the interior of the boat and to some extent the exterior to their own individual taste.
As you would expect the latest design technologies and building techniques have been employed throughout the predator 74, there is a large aft garage that comes as standard, providing space for a choice of smaller craft and even the option to have a fully bespoke dive facility platform. The customer can also choose to include a twin crew cabin at the stern, without losing the garage space if so required.
The main deck space is plentiful with a large saloon and aft cockpit area, ideal for entertaining during those summer evenings. Enjoying the state-of-the-art digital sound and TV systems situated within the seductive dining area complimented perfectly by the upmarket lounge, together creating that perfect tranquil environment we have come to know from Sunseeker
The accommodation has multiple choices available to the customer. A standard layout can be with a full-beam master stateroom with large en-suite, a twin cabin to starboard and VIP stateroom forward both with en-suite facilities. There is a large fully equipped galley to port incorporating a range of high-quality appliances and a separate seating/dining area which has the option of becoming a separate Pullman cabin with twin berths if required.
As you would expect the Predator 74 can be married up with a range of engines from Man, MTU or Caterpillar our ones to watch would be the 2 Man 1800PS which would give the Predator 74 a top speed in excess of 40 Knots and a range of approximately 380Nm.
With space for 8 guests and 2 crew the Sunseeker 74 Predator is certain to be on your list if you’re in the market for a 60ft to 80ft Sports Cruiser.
