Solaris Power 48 Lobster Flybridge

After the successful launch of the Lobster 55 and of the 48 Open, Solaris Power is now introducing the brand new 48 Lobster Flybridge: like its predecessors, this is a very technical boat which privileges seagoing performance, functionality, safety and seaworthiness.

The new Solaris Power 48 Lobster Flybridge has been conceived by the same winning team that developed the previous models: Norberto Ferretti, Brunello Acampora and Giuseppe Giuliani. The boat comprises an array of unique features, setting a new benchmark against its competitors, and guarantees superior comfort and livability, both inside and outside.

Its leading-edge Volvo IPS propulsive technology is specifically integrated with the hull shape, another feature that has not been seen in this form across this market segment. The 48 Lobster Flybridge sails both at low speed in displacement and planes at a maximum speed of over 30 knots unlike the rest of the planing hulls. This unique capability allows tackling long journeys in adverse weather conditions with total safety and great range.Ā  As in the previous models, Norberto Ferretti focused on comfort and livability: a walkaround enables the easy movement from bow to stern – comfortably and safely.

Ā·Ā the interior layout is available also with two cabins, two bathrooms and a crew cabin including head

Ā·Ā a wide tender garage and stowage facility

Ā·Ā spacious and well-ventilated engine room offering easy access to the engine itself and to the other systems

The overall shape of the 48 is extremely attractive with a design that should age well over time, representing a contemporaneous take on the original American fishing vessels. The 48 offers two options of engines: a Volvo 600 IPS or a 650; it can reach a maximum speed of over 30 knots and it can sail at cruising speed of 20 knots with a range of around 300 nautical miles.

The worldwide launch took place at BOOT in Dusseldorf (18 to 26 January 2020) at Halle 5, stand 5A21. The colour scheme of the boat showed the hull in gloss Bentley blue, pearly white superstructure, and matt Bentley blue flybridge which drew the crowds and gave the new 48 an elegant and sophisticated look on its worldwide debut.
