Let the Cannes fireworks begin!

Recognised as one of the most important international boating events and Europe’s largest on-water show, the Cannes Yachting Festival is known for its unparalleled range of the world’s finest boats presented. Approximately 600 boats and yachts will be exhibited by the world’s greatest shipyards and most famous brokers in the Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto from 6^th-11^th September 2016.

PARTNERSHIP WITH PORSCHE

Porsche has become the new partner and official carrier of the Cannes Yachting Festival.

With our common values, it seemed only logical for the sports car brand, to join forces for the event in order to introduce the best in yachting and automobiles to our visitors and exhibitors!

PARTNERSHIP WITH STUDIO HARCOURT PARIS

For the 2016 season, the Cannes Yachting Festival has partnered with Studio Harcourt Paris to provide a unique experience at the heart of the show. Photographer to the stars since 1934, through the unique power of light, Studio Harcourt immortalises both international celebrities and individuals with a love of elegance.

At the Cannes Yachting Festival, visitors and exhibitors can take advantage of the remarkable opportunity to have their own Harcourt Paris signed portrait created. Studio Harcourt Paris will provide a make-up and photoshoot session, and produce an art print from the contact board images. A one-of-a-kind experience on the rooftop of the Palais des Festivals.

CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE RETURNS FOR A SECOND YEAR

Following the successful 2015 launch, the Cannes Yachting Festival’s Concours d’Elégance competition provides a unique spectacle of rare vintage and modern day boats at the heart of the world renowned show. A seamless addition to the show’s luxury credentials, this year’s event will take place in the Vieux Port alongside the VIP pontoon and the Festival’s beach area on Thursday 8^th September 2016 at 5pm. Exclusively open to exhibitors, owners and collectors of motorboats and day-boats of 12 metres or less, the event will be a rare occasion for visitors to admire the most exquisite fleet of the finest classic yachts, antique vessels as well as the latest releases on display at Cannes Yachting Festival.

Nautical enthusiasts and owners are invited to exhibit their day boats in front of a jury of experts, presided over by Mrs Annette Roux, president of Cannes Yachting Festival. The judging will be based on the quality of restoration, the boats history and the rarity of the model, right through to the elegance of the crew and quality of the parade. With a backdrop of the famed Croisette will be a spectrum of boats built before and after 1980, parading one by one in front of the jury and spectators, a truly spectacular occasion of appreciation for the rich history of yachting in the heart of the French Rivera.

Following on from the procession, participants, partners, journalists, and VIP guests are invited to attend the awards ceremony at the VIP Club from 7pm. Prizes will be awarded to the most elegant women and a special award will be handed to the jury’s favourite. Participation in the Concours d’Elegance is free, the registration form is available online on the Cannes Yachting Festival website. The list of boats participating in the second edition of the Concours d’Elegance will be announced in late August following the jury’s pre-selection.

ABOUT THE CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL

The show is an event owned by the French Nautical Industries Federation (FIN) and organised by Reed Expositions France (REF). It is part of the Luxury, Culture and Leisure Division, covering shows such as Nautic – Salon Nautique International de Paris, FIAC, Paris Photo, and the Salon Piscine & Bien-être show.

Prices: Entry tickets can be purchased online for 15€ per person or at the show for 18€ per person. The Riviera Card is a personal card for two people valid during the six-day Festival, priced at 1045 €.

Opening hours: Open daily from 10am. The show closes at 7pm, expect on Friday at 10pm, and Sunday at 6pm.
