US boat builder Sea Ray have showcased their “Next Wave” program in true style and wrapped it all up in the new 400 Sundancer. Next Wave is their aggressive commitment to innovation across all Sea Ray platforms. The goal is nothing short of re-imagining the boating experience again and again. By developing and championing new technologies such as Quiet Ride™, Dynamic Running Surface™ and Digital Dash™, and design breakthroughs including SkyFlow Design™, Sea Ray is asserting itself as the dominant global presence and a company of forward thinkers.
Entertainment comes naturally onboard the 400 Sundancer, with an open flooplan that creates generous, interconnected social zones throughout the boat. A spacious and airy salon features large windows for copious natural light, and a triple-pane entry door and retractable cockpit Sureshade extend the entertainment space outdoors.
The master stateroom comes with an expansive closet system or an optional second head and shower. The aft stateroom sleeps three and features a settee and sliding bunks that convert to a double bed when preferred.
Sea Ray opt for a more automated process of building boats, there are many advantages to using robots in manufacturing, but possibly the greatest is consistency. Whether spraying gel coat or fiberglass, or drilling or cutting for hardware placement, robots hit their marks with incredible accuracy every time. This impacts material placement and quantity, providing maximum strength and beauty for minimal weight.
It guarantees exact fit and alignment, ensuring a tighter build with more exact tolerances and greatly improving performance. Human error is eliminated, flexing and squeaks are banished and the overall quality of the build is lifted to the next level.
You can also select from a wide range of power options that best suits your needs. No matter which propulsion package you choose, you’ll head out on the water with complete confidence, power, control and efficiency, at your finger tips. The standard propulsion comes in the form of twin Cummins QSB 6.7 – 480 HO Diesel V-Drive Inboards w/ DTS (T-480 hp – 358 kW)
All that’s left to do if you are set on a new 400 is to choose your colour, select your options and define your own Sea Ray experience and hey presto!
