Ultimate freedom in the new Sealine F48

A development from the F46, this latest model combines the largest flybridge area for models in this size category with a completely flexible living space. The modern exterior style compliments the sophisticated and luxurious interior. There is a wide choice of layouts for both the main and lower decks and coupled with the extensive choice of wood and fabric finishes gives owners the opportunity to semi customise their boats. In addition there are excellent storage facilities making the F48 ideally suited for long distance cruising. We at WSB take a deeper look into the workings of the new F48 and see how it measures up.

The F48 has an open plan feel throughout. Each area of the boat seamlessly connects, from the cockpit through to the airy lower deck, making maximum use of space and light and creating a very social and relaxing environment.

A unique and flexible entertaining area has been created between the cockpit and saloon which are both on an integrated single deck. Separated by sliding stainless steel patio doors, the two areas can be opened up and transformed into one large and very sociable space or kept closed and used as two separate areas. There is a wet bar on the lower deck with optional barbecue for alfresco dining.

There is a choice of layouts for the main and lower decks. On the main deck the spacious light filled saloon has 360° panoramic views, there are two forward facing pilot seats on the starboard side or alternatively customers can select to have a raised dinette area.

An integrated TV inset into the sideboard and can be raised and lowered at the touch of a button. In the lower deck there is a large very well equipped galley opposite the L shaped dinette which is located within the light filled atrium. The flexibility of the F48’s design allows for this area to be made into a permanent twin berth cabin or configured as an office layout.

The large forward cabin has excellent storage space and separate shower and toilet compartments. The full beam master cabin boasts excellent headroom and also benefits from separate en-suite facilities.

The flybridge has a choice of layouts both of which incorporate twin helm seats and plenty of space for socialising and lounging. The alternative layout replaces an aft sunpad with an entertaining area.

Designed for enjoyable cruising with friends and family, the F48’s proven hull is identical hull to that used on the successful SC47. The wide beam facilitates more internal space whilst increasing the stability of the boat.

Fitted with Cummins Zeus pod drives with a joystick docking system available from both the lower and upper helm, the F48 offers speeds up to 30 knots when fitted with the Cummins MerCruiser QSB 480hp and with the larger Cummins MerCruiser QSC 600hp speeds of up to 32 knots. There an optional hi-lo platform for bathing or transporting a dinghy or small RIB.
