Predator vs Ocean, so the battle begins with the new Sunseeker Predator 80

Sunseeker International revealed the much anticipated new Predator 80 at the Southampton International Boat Show in September 2012. The all new Predator will join its famous siblings as the most flexible yacht in the range, offering limitless options from top-end sports performance through to long distance cruising, and everything in between. The stunning range of options available on the Predator 80 truly makes it a yacht to suit every lifestyle, so we at WSB take a closer look into this new Predator.

With a sleek, aggressive new look and a performance hull the Predator 80 will accommodate a guest party of eight in a four cabin arrangement, with crew quarters or fifth guest suite in the stern. And with the performance option of Twin Arneson drives coupled with twin 16V 2000 M14 MTUs the Predator will leave the competition in its wake at a top speed of up to 45 knots, while the standard engine options deliver an impressive 30-40 knots. New design highlights can be felt throughout the Predator 80, from its stunning panoramic hull windows which floods the cabin with light, through to the visible carbon fibre which hints at the Predator’s performance pedigree. Whether choosing the performance or distance cruising options though, style, luxury and comfort remain at the heart of the Predator. The master stateroom exemplifies the consistent high standards of detail and finish Sunseeker is so well known for with a fantastic new wood finish, walk in wardrobe and stunning vanity units.

The results are stunning, with increased indoor and outdoor living space, an additional private sunbathing area up front, and an impressive deck saloon with formal dining for up to eight guests.” The Predator 80 will also premiere a brand new interior design style exclusively developed with Ken Freivokh labeled ‘Signature Look’. The latest addition to the Predator range also features a modern take on the console with a stylish yet practical design which complements the new interior elegance. And with the optional joystick maneuvering system, the Predator 80’s close quarter handling is extremely agile in even the tightest situations. However, style doesn’t come at the cost of practicality. The new Predator 80 offers spacious crew accommodation with 2 berths, separate showers and ensuite, as well as increased deck storage, and a larger tender garage which can hold a Williams 445 jet tender.
