New virtues from the new Bavaria Virtess 420 Flybridge

Bavaria Yachtbau is expanding its portfolio with a new motor yacht range – the Virtess line. The Virtess 420 will be the first yacht to be released. It features an independent, powerful design with generous amounts of space and custom-made luxury furniture. We at WSB take a closer look at the new arrival and its world premiere.

Innovative design and new features

The flybridge has a spacious, comfortable cockpit with magnificent 360 degree vision. Behind the pilot seat (which accommodates two persons), there is a generous six-person corner seating area. The co-pilot seat also transforms into a comfortable sun lounger. And for evening entertainment the Virtess 420 comes perfectly equipped with barbecue, wet bar, including refrigerator and icemaker.

In the saloon area below, there is the outstanding functionality you would expect to find. The pantry has a microwave, coffee machine, oven and a designer sink, while the drawers and folding doors of the high-quality units provide plenty of intelligent storage options. Entering the saloon from the cockpit, one is welcomed by a comfortable lounge area with corner seating and a large coffee table.

The sliding glass doors open fully to create maximum space or can be closed for greater privacy. Both the central seat bench and the cockpit table can be moved via an innovative rail system. This enables the cockpit to be reconfigured according to individual requirements – creating additional space when entertaining or more intimacy for a sundowner. The salon can also be rearranged to create more space when dining in larger numbers. Easy access to the water is taken care of by the large hydraulic swimming platform with integrated swimming ladder.

Below deck, the Virtess 420 excels with fine-quality materials, excellent workmanship and innovative interior solutions. The luxury owner’s cabin, two guest cabins and generous wet rooms with separate showers all help underline the relaxed and first-class atmosphere on board. If longer trips are planned, there is an option to fit a washing machine. On both sides of the yacht the large windows allow plenty of light to enter, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable ambiance.

World premiere in Cannes

The new Virtess 420 will get its world premiere at the Cannes Boat Show in September 2012. This also further underlines Bavaria’s commitment to the French market. Bavaria has already optimised its dealer network at the start of the year, to provide customers in France with the best possible support and strong local partners.
