Flying high in the newly upgraded Fairline Squadron 78 Custom

The latest Fairline Squadron 78 Custom flybridge motor yacht has made its public debut at the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show 2012. The model features an updated flybridge with design cues taken from the latest generation Squadron models.

A key feature of the Squadron 78 Custom is the large flybridge, which now has new seating arrangements to provide even greater floor space from the steps to the helm station. The main seating area includes the addition of an electric table that can be converted to a cushioned sunbathing area. The same dashboard as the newest models in the Squadron range has been installed as well as the bar area that comprises griddle, sink, fridge and ice-maker. The crane for launching and lifting a PWC is still fitted to the aft flybridge as standard.

With Fairline’s on-going design trend towards spacious and light-filled interiors, the latest model has new hull windows, allowing even more natural light into the cabins. Adam Greenwood, Technical Director at Fairline comments: “The Squadron 78 CUSTOM is our current flagship. Many customisable options are available throughout the interior accommodation and the recent upgrade to the flybridge layout makes even greater use of the space.”

Within the interior accommodation, customers can choose to include a dedicated office, separate walk-in wardrobes or enlarged en-suite bathroom. The dining room and galley can be integrated with the saloon to create a light, sociable area. The magnificent master stateroom spans the entire width of the motor yacht and comprises an en-suite dressing room, as well as a bathroom with a large walk-in shower, or an optional whirlpool bath.

Further custom options include, but are not limited to, an additional long range fuel tank, fin or gyro zero-speed stabilisers, changes to bulkheads and furniture, and an additional staircase. As with the other larger models in the Fairline range, purchasers of the Squadron 78 CUSTOM have the benefit of a dedicated Yacht Division Consultant who advises and consults with them throughout the entire purchase.
