Another grand entrance from two new models from Grand Banks the 46 Eastbay FB and 76 Aleutian RP

Grand Banks Yachts have unveiled two new models: the 46 Eastbay FB, a flybridge version of its Zeus-powered Down East cruiser, and the 76 Aleutian RP, set to be the largest and most luxurious motor yacht in the company’s growing lineup. The 76RP features the same proven Tom Fexas hull design and timeless exterior styling shared by other yachts in the raised-pilothouse Aleutian Series. But this newest model also introduces a brand new interior design that is more contemporary and European in flavor than any of its predecessors.

The graceful flow and simple, clean proportions of this new design is well matched to the understated nautical style that has defined the Aleutian Series. It extends throughout a new interior layout that includes four generous staterooms and a much larger salon made possible by the longer, expansive deckhouse of the 76RP.

For exploration, entertainment and enjoyment, the new 76 Aleutian RP is a compelling new choice in many respects. The large flybridge, generous foredeck, and spacious aft deck and dining area all serve to expand envelope for outdoor living. Notably, the vessel’s range lets owners stretch their voyage to nearly 2,000 kilometers, or they can speed to the next port at over 30 knots with various engine options.

“The combination of hull form, diesel propulsion technology and engineering aboard today’s Grand Banks provides a remarkable degree of flexibility in terms of speed and fuel economy,” said Hensel. “Yes, our yachts go faster, but Grand Banks owners are often surprised to learn that new models can burn even less fuel than GBs built years ago.”

The other new model Grand Banks announced here at the Yacht and Brokerage Show in Miami Beach is the 46 Eastbay FB, a flybridge-topped iteration of the Zeus-powered 46SX launched just one year ago.

Like its predecessor, the 46FB combines a proven cruising platform-including the same C. Raymond Hunt Associates hull design that has earned such wide acclaim the Eastbay Series-with the revolutionary Zeus drive from Cummins MerCruiser Diesel, plus a number of other enhancements and advancements. With joystick docking control, reduced noise and emissions, superior maneuverability and improved fuel efficiency, the twin Zeus pod are an ideal match for the strong-performing Eastbay.

On her lower decks, the 46FB is much like the “SX” model, with superior visibility from the helm, two- or three-stateroom layout options, class-leading amenities and Grand Banks’ signature hand craftsmanship throughout. Up top, the large and well-designed flybridge features a centerline Stidd helm seat and room for an optional second one to starboard. A large L-settee surrounds a hand-made teak table, and the flybridge overhang provides a good measure of protection to the cockpit below-while still leaving plenty open to enjoy the sunshine. Dual-station Zeus controls give owners pinpoint joystick maneuverability from both the upper and lower helm.
