Norwegian boat-builder Windy Boats is to unveil a major new model at the 2013 Düsseldorf Boat Show (19-27 January) which combines the comfort and protection of hard-top cruising with the exhilaration of an open sports boat. Involving a considerable investment in design, tooling and customer research, the new 45 Chinook, a development of the 44, boasts a massively enlarged hardtop that offers more shelter to the cockpit and main deck seating areas.

The new Feadship Drizzle mega yacht is no wet fish

Feadship has launched the 67.27m (220’8”) Drizzle at the Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw yard in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands. She has been created for clients who were inspired by the 2005 Feadship Twizzle, of which they were the second owners and had renamed Drizzle. Although taken by the World Superyacht Award winning vessel, they decided to create their very own Drizzle, entirely custom-built to their specific preferences. The result is an exceptional yacht almost 12 metres longer and proportionally wider, higher and deeper, that still preserves the beauty of the original 55m De Voogt design.
