Ferretti has presented the new Ferretti Yachts 650, the first in a series of models that are bound to set a new functional and technical standard for the “Yachts” product line below 70 feet in length. This craft has been developed thanks to the cooperation between the Product Strategy Committee, Ferretti Group’s Marketing Department, AYT&D – Advanced Yachts Technology & Design, and Studio Zuccon International Project and will officially make its debut at the forthcoming autumn boat shows. The new project draws inspiration from the Ferretti 620, one of the product lines best sellers, from which it has inherited some of the most widely appreciated features, like the waterline and the layout below deck. Polish boat builder Galeon, has announced their newest project dubbed the 300 Fly will join the third generation lineup in the late spring of 2014. The compact sized flybridge was designed from scratch to offer great handling and stability in all-weather conditions. The hull and deck are made using the infusion technology which helps in minimizing the weight, enhancing the craft’s performance and fuel consumption. The 2014 London Boat Show, Europe’s first boat show of the year, drew to a close yesterday (Sunday 12 January). The Show, which celebrated its 60th anniversary, presented the best of the marine industry and good quality business was conducted at a time when the £2.905bn industry is demonstrating optimism and confidence for the months ahead. A total of 88,593 visited the London Boat Show at ExCeL across the nine days*.
