51st UIM Class 1 2014 season set to be the best yet

This season sees Class 1 lining up for its 51st year since being sanctioned by the sports’ World Governing Body, the Union Internationale Motonautique (U.I.M.) in 1964, with the exciting prospect of new venues, an increasing number of race boats with the addition of the Evolution class joining the tour and increasingly closer competition amongst its leading protagonists. Sealine brand ceases trading after 40 years of building luxury cruisers

British boat builder Sealine ceased trading after filing for bankruptcy in May 2013. Sealine had been trading for over 40 years and had been one of the leading british boat brands since Tom Murrant founder the company in 1978. Tom Murrant had starting building boats six years before working on the Continental range.

Who has become the 2011 European Champions at 160mph in the Class 1 Italian offshore Grand Prix

Victory’s Arif Al Zafeen and Nadir bin Hendi completed the perfect weekend winning race 2 of the Italian Grand Prix to clinch the 2011 Class 1 European Championship in an incident-filled afternoon which saw Italians Luca Formilli Fendi and Giovanni Carpitella crash out.

It’s that time of year again for the world’s largest international boat show to raise its gates, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, lives up to its nickname as “Yachting Capital of the World”, hosting the 51st Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on October 28-November 1, 2010. With more than 3 million square feet of space over five locations, the show’s transportation network of bus shuttles, water taxis, and riverboats ensures attendees can easily navigate the boat show and its expansive waterways system.
