The new Frauscher 747 Mirage takes on Boeing 747

Once again Frauscher is opening the International Boat Show season with fresh design and innovation, welcome, the new 747 Mirage. The iconic numbers 747, are well renowned in the aeronautical industry, however Frauscher see their 747 as worthy contender to carry such numbers. Frauscher have continued to push the boundaries in the sports boat market, so the WSB team see if Frauscher have stepped up to the mark and can lay claim to those iconic numbers in a nautical sense.

The 747 Mirage will make the big entrance from September 9th to the 14th in Cannes, and in the following month, from October 1th to the 6th, at the Genoa Boat Show. Anticipation will be the dish of the day, for those willing customers waiting to see the 747 in the flesh for the first time.

A sneak preview, for the select few, hosted by Cantiere Nautico Feltrinelli (Frauscher importer in Italy) in June, on Lake Garda, provided those with a better understanding of the 747 concept. Throughout the preview, many indications placing function at the heart of its design where pointed out from the Austrian shipyard.

Given the great success encountered last year with the 858 Fantom, Frauscher Shipyard decided to reconfirm the same designers, willing to bet once more on this award winning team. For the 747 Mirage as well, Harry Miesbauer was in charge of the hydrodynamics, while the whole design project has been followed by the renowned Austrian Studio KISKA, who gave the 747 Mirage a unique and unforgettable style, managing to perfectly balance elements from Frauscher’s traditional design with new super-car inspired features. And the 747 Mirage‘s performance perfectly matches her looks, putting the possible top speed at almost 60 knots.
