Now in its 23rd year, the Monaco Yacht Show will again serve as the world’s most amazing showcase for spectacular yachts, brought together in one place to enchant global superyacht enthusiasts. From September 25th to 28th, over 100 of the world’s most significant luxury yachts will be on full display in Port Hercules, either available for charter or being exhibited to promote a shipyards’ expertise in new builds. Following the success of last year’s event where an impressive fleet, with an average length of 46.7 meters were on display and approximately 40 new builds were unveiled to their world premiere, the 2013 MYS superyacht fleet is also set to attract billionaires from the far reaches of the world.

Last show’s edition broke our attendance record with 33,000 participants – CEO’s and managers of the leading yacht companies, yacht owners, wealthy customers and owners representatives converged to meet up to do some serious business – and next September will, we have no doubt, be the same. Gaëlle Tallarida, the show’s Managing Director, says: “we deliver a social and business networking platform for the world’s top clientele interested in the niche superyacht market. The Monaco show remains the place to be whether you’re looking to step onboard this year’s finest superyacht offerings or discover the most innovative and tailor-made products and services that make luxury yachting the ultimate art of life.”

The boat builders had an equally successful show: “The 2012 Monaco show was a success for us. Much better than last year. But I imagine you’ve been hearing the same thing all day,” said Henk De Vries, CEO of Feadship in an interview in the MYS studio during the show. “The 2011 show was itself the best there had been since the start of the crisis (…); the crisis is still with us, but serious people are keeping busy. We have to be fit and ready for the fierce competition but that’s OK. If you sit complacently on your laurels, you’re out of the race.”

From the infinitely large to the infinitely small

As yachts are increasing in length, size should not be the main criterion when purchasing one. The designing and building of a superyacht should be considered to be similar to creating a work of art, from the hull’s exterior structures to the true works of art crafted within each of the tiniest areas onboard. If you already have your very own bespoke dream yacht envisaged then we encourage you to refine your ideas by simply visiting the floating exhibits moored and awaiting your presence along the MYS docks. You can then visit the show’s Designer Gallery by the MYS boat shuttles and meet the many top yacht designers who will without doubt be able to turn your dream into a reality. From a blank canvas their imagination will run wild in front of you with the absolute freedom to create the ultimate personal reflection of your tastes. You can then, complete your shopping list inside the exhibition tents where, in an air conditioned ambience you will find a wide range of high technology and crafted products put on display by the world’s best nautical suppliers.

Here you will find the official restaurant, champagne bar and private areas for business meetings.
